Thanksgiving is an American tradition which commemorates the survivance of the first colons in America, they could make it because the Native Americans help them to face the cruel winter by giving them food and shelter, the colons where very religious people and they started to give thanks to god for that help ant to show gratitude to the Native Americans.
In the USA this festivity, what happens to be the most important of all, is celebrated since those early years, it is a festivity in which the family get together and express their thanks to each other with a big feast.
