The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is a novel by the American author Mark Twain. He was an American writer, speaker and humorist. He wrote successful works like The Prince and the Beggar or A Yankee in the court of King Arthur, but he is known mostly for his novel The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and his sequel The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
Tom Sawyer was published between 1876 and 1878, currently considered a masterpiece of literature. He recounts the childhood adventures of Tom Sawyer, a boy who grows during the antebellum of the Civil War on St. Petersburg, a fictional population, on the Mississippi River coast inspired by Hannibal, where the author grew up.
I recommend this book because I read it some years ago and it is really good.
